Official Holiday Valley 2009-2010!

I was out Saturday night and it was pretty good; a little icy, but not bad.

I’m going out Wednesday evening again.

I plan on going tonight if i can round up some people.

I would, but my knee needs a break… I smashed it pretty good again on the last run on Saturday. It’s swollen up pretty good and with plans to go out wednesday night I want to rest it.

I smacked my tail bone pretty good saturday night at KB on the one half circle rail, but i need to go today not that much winter left! lol

Im headed out there next Friday with some co-workers. Any trails that are a must when I go there? Its my first time to HV.

I want to see vids… this thread with no vids is lame…

:frowning: i miss snow… a little… enough for a trip id imagine… but only for a week of boarding… then id be ready for 70 again.

Heres my only vid this year.lol.

What’s your skill level? Beginner, novice, intermediate, expert

What are you looking to do? Park? Free ride? etc?

HV’s got just about everything. As for must-hits… Eh, really depends on the night. If you’re a free-rider just ride until you find trails you like and that are in good condition. Trails can be hit and miss. One trail maybe AWESOME one day, and the next it sucks cuz everyone found it and rode it till it was sheet-ice.

Like said, depends on skill level:

Beginner: Northwind, Morning Star, Independence

Intermediate/Advanced: Shadows, Firecracker, Champagne, Cindy’s Run, Maple Leaf (if they have it re-opened by then), Edelweiss, Yodeler.

I would say intermediate, but I can ride just about anything. I ride all the trails at Bristol with no problem and have been to Tremblant, Swain, and Gore in the past. Im going with a few people from work and will probably do 90% trails, I might stop in the park for a few runs, but I havent done jumps since high school.

Havent been out in 2 years though

Were you ACTUALLY trying a front flip, or was it just a wild mistake.

Front flips are so incredibly lame.

i almost died on chute i think it was lol

For some reason my ski popped off, i slid out, lost my pole, did like 4 flips, rolled down the hill about 20feet, tried getting back up and slid down another 20 feet, had to climb all the way to the top of the hill to get my shit (i literally fell 15feet from the top lol ) , my ski wouldnt lock in my boot, so i went down the hill the rest of the way on my ass and back. it was a lot of fun

Yeah i was.I dont think there is any other way to accidentally fall forward like that.I tried about 6 last year but havent landed any yet.

I think any flip is cool.Fronts seem the easiest to start learning.Far from lame.

I did a back flip. My friends got me to wake up about 5 minutes later. I slipped a disk in my back and had a pretty nasty concussion. I guess I fell like 15’ on my head. Guess that the flip didn’t work out. I remember nothing, but I really want to know what I was thinking just before I hit.

Gnarly, I cant even imagine being upside down. I dont even jump or anything anymore. Its easier to get hurt when your older and dont weight 96lbs anymore. I just ride

lame, come this sunday

I’m going down tonight to go ride… Probably won’t get down there till 6ish, but still.

official “nyspeed anti-valentines day sunday night” meet this weekend?

its gonna be hard to commit because I might be able to find a slam piece given the occasion. lol

Still waiting for my f’in skis to come in

i would like to go this sunday
