im down, i want to break in those new boots too
Was good conditions tonight… good 3-4" of powder in most places. Morning Star was beat up and a challenge to ride, otherwise everything else was fast and a lot of fun.
I mostly took it easy and was only there a few hours. I’m going to Salt Lake City on Monday for work… and taking all my gear this time. Going to ride at night at Brighton, and go to either Park City or the Canyons on Saturday; then fly home Sunday.
Are you on crack? The snow was pretty slow tonight.
Had a work outing at Holimont yesterday, it was fucking awesome. There park isn’t as big as other places, but they had a few nice hits and some interesting rails. There were only like 2 other people in it. It was glorious.
I absolutely stomped the landing of a 540. It was my first that I ever rode away from without touching the ground with my hands and it was fucking perfect. There was an old guy following me through the park with a video camera on that run too, lol. He said he was shooting promotional video, I told him to send me the footage.
My board was fast as hell… only time I was slow was in the shit on Morning Star…
Wax your board much?
I waxed mine about a week ago…
the snow was def not fast yesterday, lol.
shrugs Newman… aren’t u the one who has never waxed his board?
Yeah, but that means I know when the snow is fast. I have a consistent test…
You said you JUST waxed your board… maybe THAT’S why it seemed fast. lol.
With powder a non-waxed board or a board that needs waxing will be slow. That’s how I know I need to wax my board… on hard pack or icy conditions it’ll be fast, but if I hit powder it slows down like I’m in mud.
I wax my board pretty close to every other time out… so it’s consistant as well…
I had mine waxed and edged.I went once. This was the second time on it.My bonk was wayyy off on foxfire and barely made it over.
I didn’t run Foxfire. I rode Champaine, Tanenbaum, Martigras, Independence, Crystal, and Morning Star.
I’m not a big park guy.
Eh, whatever. My board was riding really nice regardless.
Lol, it’s stupid to argue about how fast the snow felt.
But… FACT: front flips have no place on a snowboard. Don’t do them. A straight air with no grab is cooler than a front flip.
I completely agree!!! LOL! :grouphug:
At least we have snow to play on, right? Although it would be nice to have the snow DC has…
Yeah but anybody can just get air.Its boring.Even grabs are boring.Unless your spinning its not really cool or even fun, wether it be vertically or horizontally.Thats my opinion on jumps though.
How come flips are lame?
Backflips fucking rule. It’s just front flips. They’re just stupid looking.
I think any flip is cool. From what iv heard fronts are easier. They seem safer to.So thats where i start.
A front flip looks like a somersault. Babies do those.
I miss boarding so much. We get a shit load of snow in VA and theres no fucking hills. Sigh…
Going up saturday with my buddy.
He’s going for a cork 1260 of the step up.
Watched a kid try to do one last week in the terrain park at KB, was one of the funniest failures I have ever seen.
