Just purchased some Volkl 75 ski’s and am ready to go…
The plan is to not/hardly ever goto KB this year… meaning lots more HV.
I usually go alone, looking for people to get out with that can peel me off a tree.
Any deals on HV passes? season?

I got a good deal on a 10 pack for KB
Signed the family up with a 1 year trial membership to Buffalo Ski Club through a friend who’s a member and instructor there. Did season ski rentals through snow ski and board on transit to see if we enjoy skiing before we plunk down money on buying equipment ($89/person for a ski/boot combo rental).
Hopefully this is a winter hobby I get to do a lot more than I used the damn snowmobile last winter.
Gearing up to work Sundays again teaching snowboarding at Holiday Valley. Cant wait for the season to start.
I’ll be riding probably Saturdays and Sundays, along with a few week nights here and there.
If anyone is interested, I’m selling a board.
I just aquired a snowmobile too…hoping for a good winter
Hope there’s some damn snow this year. I didn’t get to HV once last season.
I made it to holiday about 20+ times last year. Even though the conditions for weather sucked, we still had a decent surface to board on. Again given the weather we had compared to any other local ski resort.
Used to work at KB decades ago. Miss skiing and my buddy and I have been seriously talking about getting back in the game. Will probably end up breaking a hip.
Bought my day pass for KB during the dirty girl thing. It was 20% + previous passholder discount and it was only $340
Got to see hot chicks covered in mud, good deal on a pass  however my S2000 was completely covered in mud and the underside + motor still is
I usually do Sundays at Holiday, it’s like $150 for the season. I’m pretty sure I won’t be going much/ at all due to my knee injury back in January. Grabbed a whole new setup last season too and used it twice.
we hit KB a bunch last season on the Monday night retro night for $16 from 4-10 and the friday late night thing from 11-1 or whatever. that night was the best night we went out. the only time we hit HV was on a Wednesday with the intense chocolate milk caps lol. lets hope for a better winter this year!
The late nights were awesome. I usually only hit up HV 3-5 times because of the distance. It takes me like 20minutes to get to KB and i can just randomly go after work vs revolving my whole day around it @ HV. i like HV better just wish it wasn’t an hour away
agreed, i like the quick trip to KB, HV is like a whole ordeal haha (but bigger and better)
Just because I’m a dick… more snow forecast here in the upper elevations… Hopefully this will be a good year, last year was eh, only 300-400" of snow, something like 65% of average/normal.
We had >6" fall last week above 9k; the hardcore guys were already out skiing in it.
No new equipment for me this year, other than maybe a backpack and some off-resort equipment; but all that depends how things are with School/Work and if I have time to go more than once or twice.
This is why I don’t waste money in WNY. 5 good days out there is better than 5 good years here.
That being said, I did buy a season pass here last year and was reminded why it had been 15 years since I made that mistake.
I HAVE always wanted to learn how to snowboard…but I always backed down once I saw what it would cost to TRY it and see if I like it… $100+ for one day after rentals and lift pass is redic. just to see if I can ride the bunny hill and if I like it. If my damn feet weren’t so damn huge I could probably have borrowed gear to try but I wear a damn size 14.
Talk with Yam! Go get a bunny hill pass and an evening rental; shouldn’t cost you more than $50 plus beer.
thanks, maybe I will give it a go this year…All my other hobbies are expensive as fuck, so my chances of liking it are quite high LOL.
LOL. trust me, I know this one; it’s easy to spend a TON of $$ on gear. I think my snowboard/gear setup is in the few grand range!
not what I needed to hear. I don’t think I have less than $1000 into a single hobby. Except maybe golf. LOL FUCK
