It’s getting colder out, the shops are starting to open… Early passes were on sale, they may not be at the same price as of today or sometime this week. Lets see the interest of everyone and who is roaring to go.
Maybe this season we can setup a meet in Ellicottville for some riding, afterwards…stop at EBC for some delightful beer.
I have skied for many many years but just took up boarding last year. I will be the guy on the fancy Rossi going side to side and slow as balls down the hill looking like a total noob
My girlfriends father is selling one of these if anyone is interested let me know, it is a newer model and was like 1800 last year. He is lookign for around 1100
I may have to do that. In 4 times out last year I can successfully navigate to the bottom of the hill without falling but I am nowhere near carving like I do on skis down the hill. I am the loser riding my board edge down the hill haha
I’m right there with ya lol. bought used entry level gear last year to give the sport a try. will likely still be riding the edge down the hill this year the few times I’ll be able to get out lol.
Considering I’ve only seen 1 of those helmets posted above in person/on the slopes; and there was no way it was a girl; I dunno what you’re talking about. The neoprene/fabric facemasks?
And to those just riding the edge; everyone has to start somewhere; not to mention boarding out there in the east BLOWS… learning on sheet-ice essentially. I had to re-learn how to board when I moved out here; I was so used to ice-boarding that boarding in real powder and long trails crushed me until I adjusted.
I can say that I’ve never biffed a landing and ending up chest deep in fluffy powder in WNY; but has out here a few times, and it’s EPIC; albeit sucks to dig out of.
Aie… just talking about it is making me just crave even more to go get in some deep stuff! I’ve got a few hookups for this season that I didn’t have before, people I met at school, should be enjoying some different terrain and hopefully a lot more powder this year. I know this is a long-shot, but any feedback/recommendations on back-packs for side/back-country would be appreciated.
A Saturday would be the best for me. Sundays I’m teaching and wouldn’t be able to devote more attention to just helping you out but yet having to help everyone.
Same thing applies as last year. Just let me know when you are coming. We will connect this year I’m sure.
I didn’t mean your helmet per say. I was just saying fully covered up at the face and full body where you cant even tell its a female other than the colors and shape of their body.
