2013/2014 Ski/Snowboard Thread.

Just don’t be one of those cool kids that sits in the middle of the slope. I prefer not having to pull evasive maneuvers when bombing a hill.

Ditto! Also, don’t stop and “hang out” right after a blind corner either!

Same. Move to the side of the hills/mountains when you are on them if you are not going down them.

Anyways, I’m in the market for 2 things this season. A new helmet and a set of boots. Not sure what boots to go with and I’ve been looking into the Smith Vantage.

Or on the landing of a jump. HATE THAT!

I have always had a Giro (up until the one I just ordered); but I know a lot of people who have and really like their Smith helmets; haven’t heard one bad thing about them.

That’s why I’m looking into this. I know the guys I teach with have them as well and love them.

Just heard on the news… First Accumulating snow is forecast for next weekend out here above 8000’. Had frost last night at those altitudes.

Brothers in rossi’s I can’t wait my flow nx2 bindings just came in and I’m in love already!!!

Same situation every year, SHUT UP!!! lol Sick of your bs posts getting me worked up because of how early you have a season compared to us here. JERK!!! lol

Not as early as you think, normally the season out here starts within 2-3 weeks of your season out there. Mid November is typically opening days for the resorts that have snow making capabilities.

Forecast - Snow starting this afternoon, running through Friday; snow levels are expected to start above 8000’ dropping as low as 6000’ Thursday night. Accumulations probable in the higher elevations with the range being 6-12". Highs tomorrow, mid 50s here in the valley.

I saw a picture of a guy skiing on 2" of snow in Alta. I hope they were spring skis. lol

I bought a Signal Park deck at the end of the season and only got to ride it once, it was amazing. Cant wait for snow this year!

Just booked the flight into San Fran and out of Reno for mid December… so pumped. Unfortunately due to my career, if I want to get any substantial riding in it has to be before the new year so this trip is going to be huge for me.

Only rode out west once and that was in Tahoe as well. Loved both Squaw and Northstar but was wondering if anybody had any other suggestions for this time around? Definitely going to do Heavenly too.
