im wondering when ill get my call to work for holiday again this year. im sure sometime soon! lol
Eh, they got 73 days left thill they’re scheduled to start letting people on the slopes; they got plenty of time to do the call-backs.
I’m just pissed I didn’t have the $$ to get the season pass before prices went up this year; gonna cost me an extra $60 for the night pass… eh, it’ll still be worth it.
Nevermind… found the prices on the site…
If anyone is interested:
Learn to Ski and Snowboard packages are $65 and includes School Haus area lift ticket, rental equipment and first time 1-1/2 hour group ski or snowboard lesson. Lessons are at 10:30AM and 1:30PM so looks like I will be using days off to go

Better idea… go take a ride down there with Yeam (or another person who KNOWS how to teach!!! I’m not one of them!!! LOL) one night and go play around with him on a night pass. Be a LOT better than the group thing plus then you can go anywhere depending on how u do.
My first time out this year is going to be “fun”… learning a completely new board (Plus a completely different style board; Banana Tech + Magne Traction FTW!!!), plus new bindings (And trying to get them adjusted properly).
Ya debating finding someone who knows how to teach and offering them money for a private lesson. I am pretty excited to learn.
I would; there’s a few people on here who would teach you probably for a few beers and paying for their lift ticket for a night (If they didn’t already have one). It sounds like you have the right mentality for it; hell, you sound like me a few years ago when I started.
It was something I always wanted to do, so I went out with friends one night, spent most of the night on my ass; then went out alone for a few times and just practiced, practiced, and practiced. I’m sure I was slower than MOST picking it up; but it was all worth it to me!!! Now it’s one of my favorite things to do, and is something I enjoy extremely.
Hell, maybe Kevin (Yeam) can teach you and Lucas (Luke_L) at the same time; that’d be good for both of ya to learn together.
Ya my goal is to find someone else just starting new to take lessons with. I know it would be no fun for someone who is skilled to teach all the time and do the beginner hills but I have no problem going on my own once I get situation with the place.
Looking forward to snow tho.
I took Lucas a couple years ago; but he’s basically starting from scratch. I know Kevin offered to give him some lessons already one night.
He stopped going after wiping out at the bottom of one of the hills pretty bad. I pushed him a little too hard to go on the bigger hills… my bad.
bunny hill!!1
ill be on the bunny hills all winter. lol
Nah; You’ll be on the Big hill greens by the 2nd time out if not the first.
You wanna drive me to the hospital after?
no way, i teach people how to ride sometimes in 50 minutes and they have never had a board on there feet before. youll be fine!
Nah, that’s what Mercy Flight is for!!! LMAO!!!
I will say you ARE going to be sore as a MOFO for a couple days after you go though; you’re going to be using muscles you never knew you had; or have never used that hard before.
I know my first few times out I’m pretty sore, until I get my body used to using those muscles again.
I can’t wait… Seriously… I’m SOOOOOO ready for the season to begin…
got myself a new helmet coming in the mail. hopefully it works out well for me this year, had to have the headphones in the helmet though or i wouldnt be buying it.
Where’d you order it from? I’m debating getting a new one this year…

Actually the first time i take someone i have them go down a diamond.I think its yodeler. They learn how to balance and go down the entire hill sideways. That way they have a good idea what you need to stop.I even did this for my gf.She thanked me later after almost crying.haha
Hopefully the new hotel/lodge stays on target and is open for this season
