still no 3G on the N900 though? or has that changed?
t-mo only
which works for me
Well, not most of the time
As long as he’s outside. :run:
I’ve never had a problem. But I don’t use T-Mo 3G yet either.
Just bought an N900
And apparently I won’t need to switch from my $2.99 unlimited internet plan either; according to those using this phone and grandfathered-in plan you can access 3G speeds though it without having to upgrade
:pimp:
My N900 is here and working great
The phone itself is much smaller than I thought despite the picture comparisons between my E90 that I’ve seen on the web. Even my brother with his E71 said the same thing.
The keyboard has a great feel to it and is actually useful unlike the Driod I played around with. It’s still going to take some getting used to being that it’s only a 3 row vs. my 5 row E90.
The OS is simply wild. Much more animated and intuitive than the iPhone IMO. In fact the user manual is only like 10 pages, lol. My E90’s was as thick as a Bible. It’s very easy to figure out runs smooth as silk.
The screen / contrast ratio / viewing quality are perfect too.
Battery life is much shorter than my E90, but that’s to be expected since the battery is half the size.
It automatically connected and notified me of a firmware update. Then when I let it do it’s thing, it downloaded and updated itself on the spot. Very cool to not need to connect to a PC to update the phone.
I’ll add more later.
Very cool. I hope that phone is the standard for new Nokia phones and not just a flash in the pan. I know it’s got an 800xXXX screen, but I forget, is it capacitive?
Oh, and my e71x does OTA firmware updating too. I am also special.
Have I been following shit correctly? Maemo, Meego, and symbian will all share apps based on that Qt whatever?
i picked up a E66 for my sister to use in while shes in spain for a bit. i wish i could use nokias.
Yeah they’re nice. I wish they had the domestic app developer support that iphone, android, and even winmo has. Top notch hardware though.
This OS is great and if MeeGo is developed with it, it can only get better. I’m not worried about the lifespan.
It’s a resistive screen and the only difference is that it’s a tad less accurate when you use your finger, but hardly noticeable unless you’re a total nerd. It comes with a stylus for clicking all those little fields in my spreadsheets which works WAY better than if I had to use my finger on a capacititve screen IMO.
I think but I haven’t been following that closely.
Ok so I’m browsing on TMobile 3G right now and this thing is friggin’ fast… it actually feels faster than my home computer, lol. Can’t beat the price either
Yeah I kind of hate you for that $2.99 internet thing.
If you have TMobile and an unlocked/unbranded phone, all you need to do is change your phone on TMobiles website to a ‘dumbphone’ (like a Razr for example) then you can add the option of tzones for 4.99 (or 5.99 I can’t remember, Llink has it) or to web2go for 9.99. It’s that easy.
I get it for 2.99 since I’m TMO OG.
dont you feel dirty saying that?
Dirty as the money I’m saving
red x fry?
