Thanks man

Is there a limit on number of co-drivers per single car?

FYI guys, due to those pesky law suits, the track has just informed me that they will now have a 96db noise limit… I don’t know exactly how they are going to enforce it, or even if they will, but that’s something new for this year. We’ll learn more at the track.

For reference, Rick’s (RX3) race bike is 96db… And it’s LOUD.

If anyone thinks they will have a problem with this, let me know ASAP.

Nope. Not this time around because we’re not planning any catering.

eek. i dont know if my car will be under that, its gonna be pretty loud once i get my mufflers on. which wont really by muffling anything that much haha. might have to do the ricer thing at shred and regan for loudest pipes just to see where im at lol

Mike, It’s probably 96db at like 150ft, which you’ll be under.

Josh, remind me to talk to John about sound restrictions. I have the PERFECT solution for them.

:word:

And I’ll remind ya.

Does the “perfect solution” involve a gun and the address list of the complainants on the lawsuit?

No, it involves what Putnam Park did to appease neighbors who had similar complaints  I was working out there the past 5 days and had some interesting conversations.

ugh…
I’m not sure how loud the e30 is.
But it has a “muffler”…?

Honestly, I know people who have run at Dunnville already this season and no one has said anything about the sound limit being enforced.

Well, If it is an issue, I’ll just suck it up for the day and do burnouts out front or something.
I’m going to try and hit up muffler man prior to the event but this is low on the list of things to get done.

Higher on the list are things like making the gas gauge work, mounting the radiator, fixing the headlights, put suspension on, get tires that are not showing cords on the car and get a shifter in it…

guys…
96 decibels is fucking LOUD.
no one will have to worry

For comparison, a train whistle at 500 ft is 90 decibels.

josh… as for the co-driver thing… it’s best to be clear that you pay entry by the driver and not the car… so you can’t bring one civic and 5 dudes to drive it for $100 total, right?

(spectators and people who ride along are free)

If I have to change it for later dates I will, but for now it’s $100 per car not driver. If they want to have 5 drivers for that one car, they all need to follow the rules and be there at the drivers meeting. No one drives without an armband.

And, if driver number 5 acts like a idiot on the track, (doesn’t follow flags, passing rules, etc.) we’re banning the whole ‘team’ from continuing not just that one driver.

So if they want to increase their chances of something going wrong, and decrease their individual (driver) amount of track time, I don’t have a problem with it.

We’ve had a good amount of instructor / instructee teams in the past, and I want to encourage that to continue.

Although I know no other organization allows it.
