Official Twisties & Hill-climb Rd. Thread?

I drove around today for a bit looking for some fun and entertaining roads. Needless to say I found quite a few and don’t mind posting them up but I just wanted to make sure if it’s ok with the mods just in case due to authorities finding out or just for the safety of others.
Anyways theres always a few threads posted about someone searching for some fun roads and with gas prices these days it would be nice to know instead of driving around aimlessly and would provide good info for anyone setting up a cruise.

isnt one of the rules no street names ? But if it was something that could be made private then id say do it

BILLO RD!

i thought thats just for racing … this is just cruizing

lol, ya if you want to become some guys rug

While you are right, i think some people might want to take the twisty roads a little more spirited sometimes and i think the last thing needed is to draw attention to spots like that. If people want to name good spots to cruise on thats fine but if they plan on doing a little more spirited driving it should be done via pm or some other way of communicating it.

rt 240 from west falls to glen wood has some very nice scenery.

pm me mapquest?

198

yeah but overdo it and say hello to mr. concrete.

why post road names?

if people want to experience/learn these roads, they can come to the backroad courses…and you can lead, or be in the lead car if you dont want your car being first…why risk posting that shit up. i’m not too worried about authorities following us there because i doubt they spend that much time on here worrying about us…i’m more worried about the 39457984753457834 asshats on here that would go there, tear the places up, probably crash, make the news, and have every person living around there put 911 on speed-dial for as soon as one of the more controlled groups of us decides to take a joyful, yet within our limits, cruise up there.

if you’ve found some great spots, killer man…don’t talk about them though, just show us next time we’re all out cruisin

Start slow, learn your car and keep bumping up the speed. You should be able to gain enough feel for the car over time that you would have little worry of a wall. I run the 198 at least once a day <3 the 198.

Exactly why I didn’t post them up immediately. Last thing I wanna hear is an inexperienced driver lose their life on a road me or someone post on here. Either way members are still going to ask for where to go but it was just a thought. Mods feel free to delete this thread if they wish.

this is why we have PMs! glad we’re smart about it though. prevention works best.

i wish more drivers would follow this mantra. not just enthusiasts, but all drivers, especially young ones :baby:. i can’t even begin to count how many times my ass was saved by skills that i learned through previous practice.

198 is pretty sweet though.

They do have a name for that…fun.

mm…pre-2000 audi.
