I’m going this year and used to go a lot but honestly can’t remember how many in that size they bring. That’s never been a boat type I’ve been interested in honestly. I’d go to check out the 18-23’ runabouts I’m likely to buy and drool over the couple yachts that are there that I’ll likely never buy.
Yeah, they look ridiculously similar to the pics that were already on their site.
Anyway, if any of y’all get down there tonight or tomorrow, could I get a quick heads-up?
I’ve been casually looking for ridiculous inflatables to pull on the water. Besides the Manta Ray, anyone have suggestions?
This looks like retarded enough to qualify:
We go to this every year. Lots of PWC’s, lots of pontoons, lots of bow riders and bass/fishing boats. Smith Boys usually bring like one or 2 30+ft SeaRays in the $200,000+ price range, but that’s about it. The fishing boats usually suck too, Rich Marine should bring some of those Whalers in.
They have some decent deals at the boat show. I’m sort of in the market for a fishing boat like a Lund, Alumacraft, etc, etc. Each marina has a few “boat show specials” that get paraded around at the boat show, the outdoor expo, the greater niagara fishing show and other venues. These boats get a ton of foot traffic and fingerprints on them, but they are also marked down by thousands. From what I remember there aren’t too many 30’+ cruiser boats there. It’s mainly aluminum fishing boats, and pontoon party boats. The entire perimeter is PWC and those things are ridiculously expensive.

Works nice, does the job and seems sturdy enough. I have a season on mine and it held up great. I like it bc of the multiple handles and there is no seam/hole in the middle to chafe your arms/legs on while riding. If you buy one, def get a 12v inflator so you can fill it while on the water. It’s practically a must. I usually inflate it for the day and let it sit on the bow and deflate it back at the slip and store it below at the end of the day. It’s pretty generously sized for a tube.
Air Chair looks awesome, I might really hurt myself on it though, lol.
We used the Sub Wing last year and it was great especially over the shallower parts of Lake Erie:
Any videos of your own, Mr. GQ?
:xz:
That subwing looks pretty cool and thankfully not $1300+ like the air chair.
Nope. I’m waiting to buy that Lilly drone but looks like it won’t be out until the end of summer

The one we had also broke, but I think that was user error. If I remember correctly it was bought with a Groupon deal for like $300.
That subwing looks sweet as hell, for lake erie, i don’t think there is shit to see 10-30m though… except brown doodoo.
You’d be surprised. Check out some of the shallow areas. We trolled around Crystal Beach flying in between the columns of plants growing up from the bottom of the lake.
They make $300 ones now, looks like were using the Carbon Fiber wing: Subwings ⇒ Choose from 6 Awesome Cool Underwater Sports Toys
^^^ That’s the kind of ski I have. And that’s why I’m getting a helmet this year, lol.
In related news, the ice boom is already coming out  https://weather.buffalonews.com/2016/03/08/3262/
Also if any of the PWC guys are interested in a huge cruise through Toronto inner harbor there is one happening on May 22nd. 100+ skis expected: http://www.torontopwc.com/#!Great-Canadian-Jetski-Cruise-May-22nd-BOOK-IT/d4dwn/56ba58ea0cf2b4e0b622ce9c
You usually need a special license to ride in that area but the group going will have a police escort so it’s all set.

How are your getting your ski over there? Riding or driving and launch? What kind of gas can we find over there at the docks.
Oh I don’t know if I’m even doing it or not. I think it would be cool but the problem is I don’t really have the ski for it. I’d run out of gas before getting there, lol.
I put my little boat in 2 weekends ago. The snow this week is a bit of a let down, but I’m going to try and get back out to the cottage this weekend. Just depends on the wind.
Hopefully any of you that decided to fire the boats up early with our little spring fake out made sure to re-winterize them or you’ll be risking major ice damage when water freezes inside your cooling systems with the lows we have this week.
The guy that bought my boat wanted to hear it run so we fired it up on a big jug filled with RV anti-freeze.
