Bought online. I measured myself and watched a bunch of YouTube videos on proper fit. I managed to get one that’s perfect I think, but I haven’t gotten it wet yet so we’ll see how it works. But all the fitment checks are perfect for checking a suit when it’s dry.
The thing I found is that sometimes you have to jump around brands since they all offer different sizes, half sizes & measurements. It’s proving tougher to find one for my gf than it was for me.
Launch at Gallagher? I wasn’t sure if it would be open for the weekend. Hot temps during the day and warm nights i’m hoping bring the lake temp up to the low 60’s. Going to try and splash the ski saturday. Anyone else plan on getting out this weekend?
What exactly do they do to “de-winterize” it? If they winterized it properly with fresh oil and lower unit gear lube your spring startup shouldn’t involve anything more than starting it up on the hose to make sure you’re not the asshole holding everyone up at a launch when you can’t get it started.
Had the maiden voyage Tuesday night. She does low 50’s and comes out of the hole like a rocket. Really happy with it and can’t wait for the water to warm up to try some wakeboarding and slalom skiing. This is on the stock 14.25x21 3 blade aluminum Michigan Wheel prop too, so I’ll likely be upgrading to a stainless as some point this summer. Right now the tach isn’t working (new gauge on order) so I don’t want to mess with changing props until I can get a good baseline of what this prop is pulling RPM wise.
Check the fuel filter/fuel water separator! I dumped mine this spring and found a little water in it, def not somthing I would put off doing. Easy to forget about it, out of sight-out of mind I guess, even though it only cost me $9 to change…
I am going out after work today after 3. I need to mess around and burn up this winter gas. My ski is so loud now I really have to build some sort of a muffler for this thing lol.
