oil drain turbo concern

since i clocked my turbo the oil feed and drain lines are now in different positions.

this leaves the oil feed on the bottom and the oil drain on top. is that ok? im sure that the feed will operate correctly but im concerned about the drain.

please help

pics to come

no
not ok at all.

15 degrees off vertical is all that’s recommended. not 180 degrees off. LOL.

no, youll flood the turbo with oil. the oil drain should not be more then 45* from the bottom at any time

lol yeah i just dug up a few articles explain that. i didnt think it was gonna be ok but i needed to do some research.

im gonna clock the turbo using this method ( http://www.stealth316.com/2-td05clocking.htm ) , so that those 2 oil lines will be back to normal

Disaster avoided…

assuming turbos work like i think they do, why not just switch the lines so it flows the other way. (i have no turbo knowledge)

then why are you talking?

i’d say it’s safe to assume that you don’t know anything about anything, so please STFU

or, option number B: kindly cut off your hands at the wrists, at least the resultant pencil in mouth keyboard poking may just ebb the flow of consistently shitty posts.

no, you cannot do that. It’s a journal bearing inside the turbo, look here:

that’s how it works, try running that in reverse…

lol, big time

got it right now.
