So i finished getting the new Nismo motor mounts in,during the install the engine was leaned back towards the firewall. So i’m guessing something got squished from the engine leaning towards the firewall or something got unplugged during the upward motion.
Anyways the engine revs up to 4000 rpm as soon as i start it,stays there for a few seconds then drops down past idle and stalling.
Anyone experience a similar problem before and any clues as to what it may be?
And that line can also affect idle?? I’m gonna have to check that line out. Thanks!![/quote]
Yes. Because your manifold and all hoses must be sealed. If not, an unwanted air leak makes the car idle faster. Your exposing atmospheric air to a lower pressure in the manifold.
Yeh…my PCV valve in my corsica cracked right in half during startup once (fed from the manifold in my car
)…had to get home. took hose from friends garage, looped it from the opening for the PCV valve, to the test opening (where you can hook up a vacuum gauge) they’re DIRECTLY across from eachother (it’s like a T) so I had a hose loop going…funniest looking thing ever.
