Anyone know of any local companies that take down old barns for the lumber?
Figured I would ask here as I was digging around on the Internet and was not finding much locally for this type of thing.
The barns are located on my grandparents property which is out in Sheldon if that makes any difference.

Are they willing to pay for the demo? What size are the barns?
At this point they don’t want to pay for demo. It is an old dairy barn in a L shape with a gable roof, I don’t know the exact dimensions. My best guess is about 65ft on each long side of the L and 30-40 feet wide.
Could I swing by and purchase some lumber from you before you get it taken down?
Where the f— is Sheldon? I would def be in to buy some.
A friend and I looked at doing this once before but the logistics of storing the harvested lumber until use / sale made it an expensive concept. Reclaimed lumber products are cool and it’s great if you can turn it into something useable. The character of that stuff can be awesome.
Work owns me or I would love to come out and take it. I store all of it in my barn now.
You could check with Buffalo Re-Use.
I know there’s several companies that would actually pay you for the wood, to dismantle it, I just don’t know of any in WNY.
Thanks for the replies, not looking for anyone to just take a few boards or part of it, etc. Kind of an all or nothing sort of deal.
