it helps to own/be around the cars in the discussion, but it doesnt mean you cant talk about them. however, if you are that guy (not refferring to you, necissarily) and make a bold/stupid statement, you gotta expect ppl to call you on it.
mustang interior and quality is better, i agree. but to act like its so much better to buy the GT for its far superior quality then build the motor up to have a better overall car than a f-body is sorta ridiculous. by the time you spend the money on a GT to try to run with a LS1, you wont give a shit about that interior bein nicer. youll just be pissed that you just dropped almost 2g’s and your not even in the low 13s yet.
making bold/rediculous statements is what the interweb is all about.
I agree with the second point to a degree. It is nice to have a fast car, but a nice interior that doesn’t rattle is nice also.

Wow you are acting like Mustangs have these high quality interiors…thats a good one. I have yet to be impressed with any mustang that I have been in quality wise. I drove my uncle’s 05 GT and thought the interior was pretty cheap. I am not saying f-bodies are great but they are not as bad as people make them out to be. My WS.6 has 30K on it and there are not too many rattles at all…everything is still really tight…still like new.

trust me, i dont like my interior rattling around and looking like it came from a cereal box, but the car performs well and looks good on the outside, which is why i bought it. if i put more stock in the interior, along with performance, then i dont think the stang or fbody would be the cars id be lookin at.
i cant believe we’re on page 8 of who rides what car’s nuts more. they both have plusses and minuses.

Yeah I was in it and it was decent…the seats were awesome. I am not saying they are junk but to say they are way better than f-bodies is retarded. I have driven a few 96-05 mustangs and I will say I did like the seats in the Cobra and the Mach one but other than that I wasnt impressed.

if ur so pissed about it, then quit postin/readin it. i think its a decent thread. if u notice, alot of the mustang ppl gave props to the gm motor and most GM ppl are agreeing the ford is alittle better quality. who knows, by the time the 09 camaro comes out, maybe youll finally be allowed to get one.
Aside from the hating that was going on before, it basically comes down to this:
Personal Preference.
I prefer a Mustang, basically because I’m a Ford guy at heart.
Other prefer the GM cars, whether it be because of the engine, style, interior, whatever it may be. “Better” in this case is just a case of personal opinion. Faster/Better Looking/Interior Quality isn’t.
I’d rather have the Mustang, Most of you would rather have the F-Body. Maybe I would prefer modding the poo out of a Mustang to run with an LS1, maybe you guys would prefer just buying a faster car from the factory. If Fords do need a S/C to be fast, so be it. Ford works with FI and smaller displacement, Chevy works with NA and bigger cubes. Different strokes for different folks.

Zack, you make a good point, but if u do choose the mustang, why wouldnt you just try to get a Mach or Cobra if you are tryin to run with/ beat LS1s? it just seems like it would make more sense to me. cause it will NOT take only a couple hundred to make a gt hang with an LS1
I’ve given up on working to have a fast car right now. I’m working to pay for school. I’m going to wait until I’m out, then I’ll be looking for a 2004 SVT Cobra or Fox Body LX 5.0 to build up. So bringing up a GT was stupid on my part, since personally I’m going to try to go big, instead of piddle around with a GT.
