Well its been a long time coming almost 10 years now… But I finally broke down and ordered a new machine. I orginally placed a order for a dell xps 8000 but the kept back orderining it on me. So after a month of that I cancelled the dell order. Then I decided to build my own like the good old days. So i did a little research and hit newegg. its not the baddest rig on the block but not bad for $732. Would have liked to get a better video card but I have not played games since the Quake 4 so this one should do. Lemme know what you think.

Also Dell bought Alienware… now I bought my Alienware before Dell owned them, but do you, or anyone know if they cheapened the parts, or is it just Dell owns them, and they still operate on their own?
I use all dell at work for my servers and workstations and hp for thin clients since we are a citrix house for the most part. I have had very good luck with them with the business but doing a home order was a nightmare. I always built my own in the past but I figured I would be lazy with a 1 year old running around the house time is hard to come by so I thought I wouldcut a corner and paid for it. I probably would not have been happy with the machine as well so it worked out for the best I guess.
according to my research the lately nvidia cards have fallen behind the ati cards. I have always used nvidia video cards but the reviews showed the numbers that the ati card price to performance ratios were much better. as far as the intel thing I have always favored amd call it a rooting for the underdog thing. again price to performance goes to the amd. but it is all about personal preference.
Great build, although I prefer Nvidia, but the 4670 will play any current game you throw at it so no complaints, good job going with AMD and not intel.
