how about everyone just reads the sticky’s?
i agree with tpgsr, i think there should be a post requirement, or possibly a verification by a mod to let someone post in the FS section.
one rule of forums: lots of people have gotten screaming deals on stuff just because someone signed up to offload something, be it on nyspeed, ubrf, or any other forum of ANY kind
its not at all unusual for someone to have a certian car, and use forums that are dedicated to said car until they want to sell it. and since local sales are usualy easier, coming to a local forum makes sense
if people can put together a coherent sentence, and have something decent to sell, wtf does their post count matter ? do you require references when you purchase a car from the newspaper classifieds ?
#1 - The spelling thing, I’m only talking about severe crap that you can barely read. If you have something to post, take the time to make it intelligible.
#2 - In the Classifieds section you post if you have relavent facts to add or are genuinely interested in the item for sale. There is no other reason to post in a classifieds thread.
#3 - Really? You guys think this place is “well enough”?
great idea, misspelled words are automatically underlined in red ! just click the word and you get options to select from
You know what? Nevermind. I’m not adding any infractions, nor am I going on an enforcement binge.
Negative posts will be left in the Classifieds SO LONG AS THEY ARE RELEVANT TO THE ITEM.
example:
BAD: You’re car is old & a POS
GOOD: I that is a lot of miles, was XXXX ever replaced?
BAD: OMG i want this car so bad… GLWS
GOOD: That is a great deal, given the market for these
BAD: Get rid of the gay fucknig wing or GTFO
GOOD: You might want to consider de-ricing it if you expect it to sell here
etc.
