Our tax dollars hard at work

Yet it’s done every single election day…

Also note the popcorn smiley: it was me ring sarcastic to rial people up.

This may be the most reasonable thing you’ve ever said.

I wish there were more people to choose from during the election, I think we could use more competition than just two people. /PJB

well theres usually more than two candidates but does the Marijuana Reform Party candidate really have a shot at being president?

Only if the entire electorate is stoned, usually it’s only California.

And bam… you go right back to ridiculousness

Hence why the party system should be done away with.

ever see how many way out in left field parties there are in a presidential election?

Ron Paul seems to be a candidate with different views but he’s largely ignored and laughed at.

Unfortunately the two party system will never be done away with and other parties have no chance the way it’s set up.

Completely agree.

I don’t vote, but I’m writing in PJB in 2012. Fuck it.

The Electoral College?

Also not a fan of it.

Well what do you mean by get rid of the party system?

Not the party system in general, but more of the two-party system. It’s almost a given that if you’re not a D or R, you will not be the president. Two many people believe they have to be a part of either side, and that if you are not a part of either, your voice has no chance of being heard.

It’s nothing that’ll happen overnight, but the more people realize they have other options that can do just as well if not better, the better off things will be.

The two party system we have still allows other parties to be formed.

They however simply won’t get anywhere.

Id make it simple… many would require sponsered bills of course…

No more money to countries that abuse us. Especially members of OPEC, who just keep fucking with us every time our economy seems to start to gain speed.

Tariff the shit outta China / Its ok, we can pay more for junk

Make small business the receivers of breaks when jobs are created, rather than rewarding those that choose not to work

Unions would not be untouchable, the way they often are… if I could wave a wand

Impose a limit of fed.state, county employees to 30% of eligiable employable people (voters)

Incentives should be the motivator… the best should be rewarded.

Term limits in congress would be nice, IF the Prez could just say it, and make it so … )

Promote smart profiling and fight immigration as the law reads

Not touch subject of abortion

I would get rid of the SS / Medicare tax cap… tax all the way up. Yeah, I said that.

Id then do commercials for eXtenZe.

This is what I would do in the first hour.

Then Id nap… cause Day 2, I’d start really promoting my adgenda.

—edit… probably shoulda put thought into this…but go ahead libs and commies…fire back

see , ya have my vote

I seriously hope you are sterile for the sake of this country’s future

Ron Paul was promising for a while, but he’s not really a libertarian, and he seems to share the idea with a lot of republicans that “the united states is a christian nation”. I love his views on foreign policy, getting rid of the patriot act, and the legalization/taxation of marijuana, but some of his other ideas scare me a bit.

Basically where it all starts to go wrong is his religious crazy aspect. He seems to want a theocracy, just like the other GOP candidates.

Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view. The justification is always that someone, somewhere, might possibly be offended or feel uncomfortable living in the midst of a largely Christian society, so all must yield to the fragile sensibilities of the few. The ultimate goal of the anti-religious elites is to transform America into a completely secular nation, a nation that is legally and culturally biased against Christianity.

Its a little odd to be called “elitest” and “overeducated” by a doctor. And its nice how in the sentence I italicized, he basically says “most of the country is christian, and fuck you if you aren’t”.

The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs. Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government’s hostility to religion. The establishment clause of the First Amendment was simply intended to forbid the creation of an official state church like the Church of England, not to drive religion out of public life.

At this point, he is either completely clueless about the founding fathers as well as the documents in question, or so full of shit his eyes are brown.

Why do I give so much of a shit about a president’s religious views? I don’t until they look like they are going to start effecting me. Not believing in the separation of church and state is a major deal breaker. “But what about all the people in this country that are christian?” And what about all of those who are not? The only good thing religion can do for government is getting out of it.

The candidate I wanted was Gary Johnson, but he got kind of fucked over because he was too sane to be interesting for the media to give him any coverage. Sorry about the rant, I’m just kinda pissed off that I now don’t have any candidates that I like at all.
