By “they break it up and take it out” do you mean they surgically remove it via the stomach or pelvic area, or go up through your urethra and get the pieces.

Now this coming from the guy that used to have an ampallang, but I hope I never have a kidney stone… eek. (Although I drink about 128oz of water a day and limit salt intake so hope that helps)
Well in my case they removed the stone…then left a stent…small plastic tube that runs from your kidney to your bladder…then a string runs from that out your dick…which they then pull out a couple days later with out any pain meds or knocking you out…that was the worst part.

yeah i feel your pain literaly cat scan says my stone is about 2mm. with another still in the kidney for something to look forward to. fucker is still in there halfway out… hurts every day. Spent a couple hours at mercy doubled over in pain. throwing up from it.

if you catch the bastard the doc should be able to tell you what its made of… and there are some prescriptions to limit that mineral or break it up. but you have to catch the bastard.
i guess the way i describe the pain is someone taking a screw driver and stabing you in the lower back and then dragging it around to the front. all while someone is standing on your nutsack. it makes you feel like you have the worst indigestion pain/gas constipation you ever had… and not having to shit.

i think the worst thing was the ride to the MAC. and waiting for the nurses to give me anything. I think they thought i was a druggie looking for a fix. because they waited about an hour before they gave me the morphine. Had to wait for the urine sample to be checked… for blood and not drugs i guess. I was sweating and throwing up and freaking out like a druggie.

mine was interesting… i almost pulled it out myself cause i couldnt handle the pain… my doc was a female (of course)… she started talking to me about how it would feel, and i asked her if she had a towel, she looked at me kinda funny but gave me one… i gripped it tight, and she started talking again… and i told her "ma’am, with all due respect, just pull it out, i dont care… she said ok, i closed my eyes and bit down on the towel and she pulled that thing outa my dick like she was trying to start a lawn mower… it didnt really hurt, but it was the most awkward strange feeling ive ever felt… but as soon as she pulled it out, i felt INSTANTLY better

depends on what kind of stone it is… but for the most part it helps…
My step mother gets stones all the time… and it pissed me off that the doctors haven’t told her what kind they are…
most of the time theyre from too much salt, calcium, vit C, or lack of water

well i spent all fucking day in the ER for my kidney… and NO stones… but im having rediculous spasms that will last for a long time. still from the surgery
good side is, they gave me two tubes of morphine and HOLY FUCK… lets just say today was interesting and fun even though i spent 8 hrs in a bed
They told me they leave a stent in after surgery so you don’t get spasms like that…hmmm good luck.
that surg was back in april… they pulled the stent out after a week n half… i almost pulled it out myself…
they dont know why its spasming like that, but damn its not fun. its like someone has ahold of my kidney with their hand and squeezing
