I got talking to on eof the guys @ PACER, just shooting the perverbial shit more or less, but I mentioned SON and he was quite impressed iwth what i’ve told him. I basically made uslook like gold.
So, we might have some visitors from PACER coming on to our forums in the next few weeks. No big deal, just thought you guys and gals shuold know.

Well if PACER is reading this post, please post up and let us know what youre about. Id like some info straight from the horses mouth in regards to the PACER program, since I am very skeptical of it to begin with.
I dont believe we have any street racers here (at least regular members) and I think it would be worth having some intelligent conversation about what PACER and police are doing to prevent it. I see a lot of bitching about police on car forums in general, but I think it would be great to have someone in the program we can actually address our concerns to on the board.

umm…why would Police And Community Educating Racers care about us if we have no RACERS??? I mean to be honest I would prolly qualify as a Street Racer…seeing as I race on our public street on a fairly regular basis. I mean most of the guys who have come out to WB & 16th have attended races or taken a shot at one of the SR’s.
you can restrict the stories to the members only section…?

Wel, the guy from PACER mailed me today and asked me to call him to see how we could get SON involved with the program.
What do you guys think? is it worth the time?
I think we should at leaqst hear him out, what’s the worts that could happen? we get some cheap track days and some large scale exposure?
Anything I should talk to him about? Hopefully he’ll still come on to the boards.

Yea, for sure hear him out and see what he wants to do with SON. I know who PACER is, but I really dont know exactly what they DO.
I think our involvement is a good thing in PACER, and hopefully we could help steer it in the right direction. I remember when they were trying to bad certain parts (ie nitrous… is that still happening?) rather than actually fighting the street racing, and thats the kind of thing I think we should help to prevent.
As long as enthousiasts and the ricers with blue nipple lights arent the ones being targeted for street racing, I think it could be a good thing.
