Pain reliever for daily use...?

So I was searching around, didn’t find much… but found some good info for short term usage.

bayer and aspirin are the same thing. But you’re on the right track. You’ve got three or four over the counter choices:

Ibuprofen (advil, etc) - pain and inflammation reliever
Aspirin (bayer, etc) - pain and inflammation reliever, might be a bit harsher on your stomach than ibuprofen. It’s also an anti-coagulant so don’t take it if you have a clotting issue.
Acetominophen (tylenol, etc) - pain reliever only, gentle on your stomach, don’t take more than 4,000 mg per day or with ANY alcohol unless you want to kiss your liver goodbye.
Naproxen Sodium (Aleve, etc) - Similar to ibuprofen, lasts longer, might be harsher on your stomach. Was in the news recently for some sketchy heart problems or something.

I take Ibuprofen most of the time.

Only thing I couldn’t find, was which is best to take for a long term daily use kind of medicine?
I’m working pretty hard as fuck at my new job, lifting all kinds of heavy ass shit all over the place, burning my crotch off, and freezing the rest of my body… and I mean… I’m not out of shape by any means.
Overhead cranes can only be used for so much -.-
Although, I would like to get back going to the gym now that I have money coming in once more, although I’m sure it will take a toll on my body.

Basically I just want something that I can take when the pain starts, until I go home. (Usually starts early-mid Tuesday, until Friday when I leave)
More or less until my body gets used to the abuse and doesn’t ache like a mother fucker.
I’ll just take Ibuprofen or Acetominophen (usually what I take), but I wanted to see if anyone knows the health effects of it on daily use… (Or 4-5 out of 7 days used technically)

Any suggestions?
Or is there something else I can do/take to help lessen the pain?
my Diet seems to play a huge roll I know, which I changed that the moment I had money to start eating well again -.- So that helped quite a bit.

Ibuprofen is what i take … I take Celebrex when it get’s worse but i have a prescription for that. But that is basically only a bit stronger than Ibuprofen.

Aleve…

coccaine

Ibu’s and get your doc to write you a script for the 800’s for when things are worse than usual.

Or if you’re going to take them EVERY day, oxycontin. just you won’t be able to stop

excedrin. I keep a bottle in my tool box at work.

Ibuprofen usually works great for me. However, long term use of it could erode your stomach lining causing GI bleeding. If you are going to use it long term, doctors usually prescribe a PPI like Nexium or Protonix along with your ibuprofen, just in case.

You can get a prescription for Celebrex, which is a COX 2 inhibitor. Meaning you’ll get the pain relief without the stomach issues.

You can get the Lidoderm patch and use it while you’re working, thats a 5% lidocaine patch that you’ll wear daily, but if you’re moving around a lot it may not stick the whole day.

You can also try Voltaren Gel, it’s diclofenac (NSAID, like ibuprofen) and rub it on. You would rub it on every 4-6 hours, the benefit to that is it’s topical so it’s not going throughout your whole system thus bypassing your stomach and most side effects associated with NSAID’s, but you still receive good pain relief.

double post…

I take 1-2 ibuprofen’s a day but its just until I ca see a doctor about what I think may be rubatone arthritis.

They never stick unless you medical tape the shit out of it onto yourself.

you mean rheumatoid arthritis?

Must make sure the skin is clean before you stick them on and not apply them to moveable joints unless cut. I also noticed that cutting the corners off the patch helps prevent clothes from pulling the patch off. Ace bandage works well also.
