do like a burnt orange and like a darkgrey/gunmetal bottom, sikkk
:word: I’ll let you know when I’m ready. I really like the blue on that car, obviously I would keep the top solid and not paint the mirrirs and spoiler different, or the ducts. I was thinking jet black before but like it was stated the upkeep is rediculous and although I do try to wash my car alot and keep it somewhat clean considering the current paint, I dont want to devote THAT much time to it. I do want it to look good enough to go to car shows etc. There is just something about the dark metallic/pearl blue that I love.
I LOVE that color blue.
I love blue on F bodys (or any car for that matter)… after seeing turbo Ls1 SS’s and firehawk853’s cars, its the only color i would ever paint my car
I think that would look great. As everyone said before though, I would paint everything, spoiler, mirrors, ducks, whatever the same blue. I think that brighter blue would look great with a darker grey for some reason, and some nice chrome rims.
Blue and silver, tup.
The two-tone is nice. Would you do the side-pipe as well?
If you paint the car that color blue and only paint the lower ground effects silver, it will look hot.
Or go with a car that is all electron blue
whatever you do…
i’d get the repro decals to place back all over the car. would look great on a monochromatic paint job, whatever color you get it. even farva orange
why not make the fast before you worry about painting it.
Well I was going to do all the engine work and shit first but besides the engine I will have to do all the frame shit too (subframe connecters and such). Maybe a 4 pt roll cage…dunno bout that though…depends on what I end up doing. For now I am thinking of just giving it a good tuneup and keeping it mainly stock just to save money. I don’t want to nickle and dime myself to death buying parts one at a time. I’d rather save up for a year and get everything at once and make it a winter project. It’s got a 305 in it right now. Needs a really good tune up. its been running rough. The carb needs to be tuned, the heads should be tuned/cleaned. I have a sticky lifter for sure. The last time I changed the oil I had quite a bit of sludge in it, so I really want to have the engine thoroughly cleaned and checked. I’ll get help with that, I can take it appart and put it back together…thats easy. But I dont know how to tune a carb or do heads n shit. Just bold shit on really. anywho…so I am thinkng of just getting the body work done for now so at least I’ll have a decent looking cruizer till the time when I have all the shit I need.
k i think first things first…
you always complain about money and shit…
it might be any of my business…but do you have enough to get it painted?
Not right this moment, but within the next few weeks I will be getting 1 of 2 really good jobs so it won’t be a problem. Both have a starting pay of around $12 an hr and have a lot of advancement opportunities.
Yellow/Black
two things:
-
a 305 is not worth rebuilding/freshening up
-
$12 a hour is good pay?!?!
$12 an hr is very good pay when you’re used to 8.50 an hr. I can very easily make $12 an hr seem like 20. Don’t forget man, I grew up poor. I’ve never really had a lot of money. 12 an hr is only like $370 a week take home, but that is $100 more a week than I was making at Darien Lake.
orange crush - chrome rims and some fat rear tires
BTW hi josh
two tone may be a trend with more modern cars but I wouldn’t call someone a bandwagon jumper when their car came two tone stock.
it sucks being poor man, if I were you i would keep the stock paint unless its unlivable and bank/invest the money man
may i ask how old you are?
Black or Silver. No 2 tone.
