I got to see this phone. Its pretty sweet. I like it better than the Storm IMO.
yea you will need to switch to a simply everything plan to get this phone. word on the phone forums i lurk is that they are trying to force out anyone with a sero to switch to a SE plan when they upgrade to a newer device soon. they were/are loosing thier ass on sero plans and they realize it lol.
i was thinking about getting the 450 SE plan for 69 and getting my “25% corp discount” it would drop it to 52/mo which isnt bad but im so reluctant to give up the SERO for a phone that was just released…maybe in due time.
i think for now i may go with that htc touch pro.

Simple to use. Somewhat intuitive. The “stone” charger is pretty sweet as well. I just leave it out on my desk, listen to the internet radio all day while it sits on the charger.

I didnt want to give up my plan but In time all the phones will be capable of doing all the shit these phones do now so you will need an everything plan. Its not just texting and taking pics anymore.
yeah but i have unlimited data and unlimited text/picture mesgs on my sero plan.
after some thought i am going to pick up the htc touch pro for now from a fellow nyspeeder and if i dont like by some chance well then i didnt have to reup my contract and will still qualify for the 150 credit if i decide to go with the palm pre.

about 9s for google maps to load once I clicked on the app icon. it loads the map w/ your current position.
I’m trying one out for a bit. So far so good, Not quite as good as the iphone from my experience but for 30/line in for a family plan its not bad at all. Unlimited everything 
I’m just waiting for fun stuff like more apps and OS upgrade that includes video…

yea, VZW is in bed with RIM right now, throwing money around like rappers in a strip club. of course, they are both making money hand over fist right now, so it’s a great relationship.
I have a feeling Palm wanted more than VZW was willing to give, especially once it came out that the thing basically flopped when you consider all the hype and advertising and such.

yeah, you know what the worst of it is? It seems like a GREAT phone, but it’s going to get zero exposure on Sprint.
If any phone wants to go big, it needs to be on AT&T or Verizon. The G1/MyTouch has the same problem. It’s a phone with endless capability, but T-Mobile is a POS network.

It would probably still do better than the Pre due to all the apple fanboys…but definitely not as well as it has on AT&T.
It really sucks if the rumors are true because WebOS looks pretty slick and deserves a bit more than Sprint.
