Paradise City

Well, I’ve been gone off this forum now for a while so figured it was time to post my latest adventure on here. Since there’s mucho Honda lovers on here, I figured this build will fit in. I currently have a 05 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 riding on a 4 inch rough country lift, 17 inch rims with 33 inch tires. With that being said, it sucks on gas & 75 dollars a week is just not fun. I started thinking about what to own as a beater. I was debating a mk2 or mk3 diesel but parts are a bit pricey as well as diesel. I keep having regrets for A.) selling my CRX & B.) not doing it properly. I looked around a bit for a stock silver crx to “redeem” myself but had zero luck. My dad always brags about the mpgs he got out of his eg hatch he had when I was growing up & I’ve always had a soft spot for those cars since I was a kid. So after all that boring talk I just rambled about, I found a decent little Paradise Blue 95 Civic Hatch DX that I paid scrap price for. It’s 100% stock minus a head unit, runs great, interior is very clean, has the typical Honda rust & needs a new muffler & only downfall to me is it’s an automatic.

So here’s my plan with this turd:

-Fix the rust properly with new quarter panels
-Repaint the car the factory color (supplies already bought today)
-“JDM” black headlights with amber corners
-Tune up
-Drive it til the stock 1.5 blows then do a motor swap (either b or k) to have a stock looking sleeper

Pretty excited about this car. It’ll be nice to have a cheap little beater to bomb around in & keep the miles off the truck. Here’s the pics I’ve taken thus far. Let me know what you guys think.

Coming back home.
