Parking Tickets (fine reduction)

I did a search, but didn’t find anything relating to my question…

Anybody have any parking ticket experience?

In the course of the last week I got hit with 2 parking tickets, both $30. A ticket cop told me to take it court and they will reduce the fine and since i have 2 im thinking this might be worth missing 1/2 a day of work for.

Does anybody know approximately how much they might get reduced?

Thanks

id just pay it…a parking ticket doesnt affect anything like driving record or insurance. The time youll waste going there, the gas to get there, and just the hassle wont be worth thre reduction.

Its different when its a actual ticket since the fines are much larger and if your charged your insurance rates will go up significantly in most cases.

I have had 5 driving tickets and fought them all…I have also had a good 15+ parking tickets but just paid them all

I hear ya. I usually pay my tickets, however it’s kind of a pisser because for one of the tickets I actually paid for the parking but got back a couple of minutes after it expired. The other ticket I shouldn’t have got at all because my church has or had an agreement and my pass was displayed.

I dont mind paying something because i am guilty but it would be nice to pay less.

What always works for me is I just go in, say i’m a student, can’t afford them and they usually reduce them in half… . although that won’t really work if you look 40… :?

Honestly for me… If it’s just the $60. I would pay it. I’m not sure how much you make at work, But the time the effort the hassles, the frustrations of waiting in lines… Not worth it for $60. If it was a speeding ticket I’d do it, cause long term it’s better. But I dunno for parking tickets if I’d bother.

Do they reduce the fine right on the spot or would that be at another date, in court? If I have to show up on 2 occasions than it would probably be easier to just pay them.

Thanks for the info.
