Tickets you have gotten dropped?

Whats your biggest ticket that you have had reduced or dropped, NO FLAMMING OR SAYING YOUR AN IDIOT FOR SPEEDING OR ANYTHING.

Keep it civil.

I was heading up to windsor on saturday and it was an empty stretch, and i was doing about 150 ( i was the only car on the road also) and a cop came out of no where saying i clocked u at 148, but since you were honist and polite and your going to school i will give you a 15 over, so no points instead of 4 and $52.50 instead of almost $400

Fight it. Despite what they say, they can’t increase it in court, that’s just empty threats. Insurance doesn’t care how much you were speeding, you’ll get reamed up the ass either way.
I’ve only gotten one ticket, cop didn’t reduce it, I took it to court. Now I have no tickets

almost the exact same thing happened to me , i was going like 110 in a 6 and the guy reduced to to 15 over cause it was my first ticket and what not so he reduced it to 15 over and no points, i havent had a insurance incerease so i guess since it was zero points it probably didnt affect it, it might also be cause it was my first and my insurance company might give one freebee

I had Careless Driving, $3000 court summons and 6pts completly dropped
thanks to one amazing man named Tom at Ontario Traffic Tickets…

bigest dropped ticket was for 70 in a 60, reduced from 95
ticket was issued in march 04
ticket was dated december 04

i got off runnng a stopsign by myself!

aswell as many other more minor tickets

key is to go to court and not be a pussy and pay the tickets

I got off a 107km in a 50km, while swerving inside my lane.
I got off an excessive noise. Due to me mentioning I’ll bring it for a test.
I got off a “wear bars (tires) in contact with road”, unroad worthy,
I got off a 130km in a 50km, that cop may have tried to catch up, I dunno
I got off a fail to wear complete seatbelt assembly, cause it crossed my throat
I got off a fail to present valid insurance card, brought it to 1st attendance
I got off a fail to display valid permit, bought it, brought it to trial
I got off a fail to display 2 license plates, said it fell off, returned/got new ones

honestly theres probably a couple I’m missing.
Mind you I get pulled over everytime those bastards see me, and well, I’ve probably gotten twice as many tickets as I’ve been let off on.

IMO Don’t fight it! They gave you a huge break, this is where they are doing you a favour. Don’t screw them. The more people we have fighting these tickets, the less they will reduce them.

Your insurance should not change with a ticket like this and what is $50 when it could have been $366.00 (believe me I know).

I once got a ticket in Vermont, I was doubling the limit (80 in a 40 Miles)(I was actually approaching 105 miles -redline in 4th- he didn’t have his gun on and guessed I’m sure). Cop came up with gun drawn. The ticket was worth 8 points out of 10 total that they give you, this was a federal offence. it ended up being $550 cdn plus $45 for licence reinstatement fees. I payed it cause they have wicked roads there, this was on Hwy 125 in Middleburry. If you ever get a chance, GO THERE!!! Take #9N through NY.

Theo

the only tickets i got

  1. inproper signal device ( i have white bulps instead of orange :hay: ) $110 inproper display of license plate ( self explanitory) $ 110

went to court one them both. .

b//c i was going to work … when darknights was going on…

230-240km/h on the 401 West.

The cop brought it down to 180, and i still got that ticket dropped.

Not much of a big deal but back in 2001 or 2002 I got 3 tickets totaling
about $330. It was for exhaust, tint, and somethin to do with my license
and the sticker on the plate.

I ended up paying like $20 after getting a court date like a year later. :dunno:

This was in my Mustang.

ditto.

All in the same night

-no insurance
-no license
-no safety
-no emissions
-no registration
-safety infraction
-posession

Before they could bring me in I had my lawyer on the scene, and I was let go.

Throughout 3 courtdates I got everything dropped. Had to pay 2 thousand for impound fee’s, and another 600 for towing.

I’ve gotten off from not having a license over 8 times in the past.

I’m currently not pushing my luck by driving without a license by waiting for my g2 road test.

How come you were driving your car?

because clearly he’s an idiot. The only reason why he’s gotten off from it is because the cops don’t want to ruin his future and are willing to help him out, thus they drop no licence tickets. But if he would’ve gotten into an accident due to inexperience and killed some doctor, all our insurances would go up because chances are his house insurance would still cover him.

some people should just be locked up…

Ok here we go…DEEP BREATH

  1. Running a Stop Sign - Explained that I was a Private Investigator conducting mobile surveillance of a Subject, ect, ect. Judge dropped the charge.

  2. Failure to Produce Ownership, License and Insurance - Explained I forgot my wallet, showed I did in deed have everything and the Judge dropped the charges.

  3. Operate Motor Vehicle with No Insurance - Talked to the Cop at the time of the ticket, gave a little sob story, he did’nt show up at court. Judge dismissed the charge.

  4. Drive motor vehicle with expired plates - Explained I was a PI, I was out of town on a very important case, forgot about my sticker and was going to be doing it the very next day but was pulled over on my way home to park my vehicle. Judge dropped the charge.

  5. Failure to display 2 License plates (had it on the dashboard) - Said I was a PI, that the Subject I was following had a habbit of burning Investigator’s by getting the plate #'s and that I only removed for this one case. Judge dropped the charge.

  6. Careless Driving (that stupid charge I got from when I got in to the accident) - The cop who wrote the ticket retired not to long after he gave me the summons and the driver & passenger were never summonded to appear, Crown had no case and the charge was dropped.

  7. A few speeding tickets that were either dropped, again saying I was a PI or, I was given like 10 over and a $50.00 fine with NO POINTS.

So being a PI has had some unforseen bennifits and I took FULL advantage of them. Hell, it was better then having to pay for all these tickets.

Easy 8)

Wow. What do you do to become one? Take a test, pay some money and get a certificate, do you need any kind of degree?

Or I have a very serious lawyer who takes care of everything, and the cops wern’t willing to help me out, they were pricks. The cops had nothing to getting the charges dropped. They were 2 new guys and my lawyer danced circles around them with words.

…and no my house insurance wouldnt have covered me if i killed someone, I would have been screwed for the rest of my life paying every dime i get to the family.

So no your insurance would not go up.

How can you call me an idiot than look up to sasha? get real you moron.

-How many thousands a year die from Drunk driving? I guess I’m not that idiotic.

No damage was done that night, Just a fun night of joy riding. If half the people told their legal problems on here, we would all be idiots. But pavel boink yourself if your going to directly insult me. Why state the obvious? If I wasn’t an idiot I wouldn’t have gotten have gotten into that mess. The Anticipation was a bitch.

Put yourselfs in my position, if you have a running 240 in your driveway and you had another 8 months to go at the time?

Pretty easy to put myself in your shoes. There is no way I’d take it out on the road. :ugh:

I don’t see how you can even try to defend yourself. At least a drunk driver’s insurance would cover any expenses the victim had - unlike yours, since you had none. So no, you are no better than a drunk driver. If anything you’re more irresponsible.

I didn’t cut you up the first time because maybe needed to transport the car somewhere to get it fixed, or you were in some kind of jam… but joyriding? That’s just stupid.

And yes, people like you do raise insurance rates, as you’re clearly prone to stupid descisions. No-one responsible or the least bit mature looks up to Sasha for his actions, and Sasha will be the first to tell you it was a stupid choice. At least he regrets what he did. Good thing you had mommy and daddy to pay for that expensive lawyer to get you out of a punishment you deserved, so you could go do it again huh?

People like you don’t deserve to drive.
