:lol: why is it my fault…it was making a noise before i ever got in the car…
i felt the pully hit the floor board under my feet…but upon inspection it didnt seem to doany other damageand just needs a replacement ps pump…unless of course nick doesnt want ps…skrapper we need to test a couple belts…
That sucks dude, I hate when shit fly’s off my car. Never had that happen to the T/A but I lost 3 belts over the course of 3 months on my Mitsubishi before I finally realized I was missing some much needed tensioning hardware (D’oh!). Good thing those belts only cost me $8.99 a piece. I’m not that familiar with these Japanese motors, but I have come to learn that they will work well if treated properly:). I’ve got 138,000+ on the odometer and she’s still going strong. Hope you get that new belt put on soon.
Got it guys…I’m on it. My only thing is I don’t think Foci ever came W/O AC. Do you happen to know what the sise was that was a bit to short? even a competitors part number would help. I am at lunch now and will be back in 30 mins @ 1:00ish.
when i bought mine brand new, it showed AC showed up as an option on the window sticker, they have to exist
when we originally deleted my A/c i bought a belt from autozone for a zetec w/o a/c…but i was routing it wrong and it was like 4 inches too long, so i had to keep going back and the one i ended up with on the car was BARELY able to fit on, and they had already closed and i was sick of swearing at it. i noticed the belt is still hung up in the engine bay so ill grab it out tomarrow morning when i get to work on the car and ill post up what it is.

thats exactly how it looks on the belt. i actually want to try the belt for a focus w/no a/c as well as something about an inch or two longer, whatever hank thinks is best after this belt maxing out my tensioner and still being too tight.
while this is out im going to repair the line that broke for the power steering like a year ago so that once i fix this i actually have power steering again. im also doing a lower thermostat while im replacing my cracked thermostat housing, a mobil1 oil change, and im going to get that performance coolant stuff to help the car run cooler. hopefully all this with a new fan from hybrid once i get some more $$$$ will help keep this beast cooler. otherwise i may need help from hank again getting an extended tube for the oil filter mount so i can run a Vdub oil cooler, and most likely a shorter oil filter itself to make up for the extra length.
:tup: so far, no coolant in the oil so the overheating didnt give me the headgasket herpes thats going around.
