Our pathfinder isnt running so hot right now, or at all really. The shop we took it too says the fuel pump needs to be replaced, and said a new one would be $300.
That seems high to me, anyone else?

What are the symptoms?
frequent stalling, inability to start.
we had to tow it to the shop because it wasnt able to drive more than a block at a time without stalling.
the rpms were very eratic when being driven.

Have you replaced the fuel filter, mine got so bad once that is started doing the same things. Its only like $15 and should be done anyways.
still dont understand why its running so hot cause a lack of fuel would cause it to run lean but that would not make it run too hot would it???

Yup it is too high.
I have a stock 240sx one that might work for you or go to mopac and pick up a universal in tank one for under 125.
