My idiot story of the day:
Little background first. I work for a company that has taken over all scheduleing of Medicaid trips in Erie County. I developed a web portal that allows transportation providers to view their trips online with up to the minute changes.
One of our call agents calls up a taxi company to let them know of a trip that we just scheduled for them that is today. She gives them the name of the client and goes to hang up. The guy on the other line started asking for the rest of the trip information. She was like “Don’t you have the website open?” “Uh, no” “Open it” Click. (This is the third time we’ve told them they need the site open at all times)
Nother one: Another taxi company calls up saying they don’t see a trip on the portal that was called into them. First think I ask is if he had the page sorted by name. “No, hold on let me sort it…oh, there it is.”
Waste of my time.

i had a guy a semi professional landscaper come in telling me his chainsaw isnt working and that the ignition modular is shot and that it would be under warranty … i take a quick look at it in the back and see it had no fuel … i put some mix in …and bam starts right up … you should have see his face when i told him it had no fuel hahah priceless

i have millions of storys, this one day the tow behing air compresor had a flat tire at the shop and one of the workers came up to my father and said he had to bring the air compressor tire up to hess to put air in it…
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville police say Reginald Peterson needs to learn that 911 is not the appropriate place to complain that Subway left the sauce off a spicy Italian sandwich.
Police said the 42-year-old man dialed 911 twice last week so he could have his sub made correctly. The second call was to complain that officers weren’t arriving fast enough.
Subway workers told police Peterson became belligerent and yelled when they were fixing his order. They locked him out of the store after he left to call police.
When officers arrived, they tried to calm Peterson and explain the proper use of 911. Those efforts failed, and he was arrested on a charge of making false 911 calls.
Peterson did not have a listed phone number.

Sometimes its not the end users:
this company I consult for, uses these chineese piece of shit OCE printers. Well, one of the caught fire, and was replaced with a temp. printer for a while. The day comes along when the final replacement, same exact model, comes in to replace the temp. I get a call from my contact at the bussiness, and she hand the phone to the OCE tech. “Hi I am her to replace the printer, and I need to know the IP address, and I need to sign on your server to install the software”. I reply back, why not print a system setup or test page from the old printer, and get all the information off that, the IP addressing is the same. The tech asks me “How do I do that?”. :confused I was like, bro you work for the printer company, and you cant print a test page from YOUR printer??? holy shit. After I gave him the addressing info, becasue he really could figure out how to print the test page. He calls me back telling me he is all set, and it prints fine. I was pinging the printer, the entire time he was there… and it never came online!!! I asked him, did you print a test page from a users computer? he said yes, it works fine. I called BS, and told him I cant even connect to the printer. I had him read off the IP address he put in the machine; 169.x.x.x! I asked him where the fuck did he come up with that, after I told him the 10.x.x.x was what he needed to put in the printer… I finaly gave up, told the guy to take his hands of OUR printer, and leave the building, and dont even think of touching any of our PC’s.
This was just a few days ago, when you are in the tech support, or any CS relaited job… you see shit ALL day. it blows my mind how these people, can put their socks on in the morning. AND here is the kicker… HOW MANY times do we see these idiots pop up, and they MAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU!!! :headbang I deal with many $100K+ people, who will blow you fucking mind with how dumb they are!
