I’m going to be running more negative camber this season. My alignment is scheduled for next week, and I’ll be asking for -1.0 in the front and -1.5 in the rear. The -1.5 degrees of rear camber isn’t too far off from stock, but the -1.0 up front should be a noticable change (-.3 is stock front camber). The car should be a bit dartier and hopefully i’ll experience less understeer.
Some folks have said that a bit of toe adjustment in the front is beneficial to turn in and response, but for my tires’ sake and DD, I’ll zero in the toe. Has anyone heard of this?
I’m sure a few of you run more aggressive alignments than this (I remember Josh Onyx talking about camber plates). Do any of you have issues with the car pulling suddenly on uneven road surfaces as a result (there is a term for this, I can’t think of it) as well as inner/outer/uneven tire wear?
What alignment changes have worked for you? What hasn’t? Discuss
