A co-worker just spilled a huge glass of water on my phone.
Do I just take it in and they give me a new one/try to fix it?
if its water damage…you are at fault unfortunately. you would have to pay the $50 deductible for a new one.
unless you can dry the shit out of it…and replace those stickers inside the phone and on the battery. I did that once when i dropped my phone in water… and they didnt see water damage and replaced it for free.

Water damage is a huge NO GO for a replacement phone … they tell ya to go F yourself …
take the battery cover off … there is a sticker inside that turns pink when wet .
just go pay the deductible. and then dump a cup of coffee on her iPhone in return.

So just tell them it got stolen?
DONT TELL THEM YOU GOT IT WET.
TELL THEM YOU LOST IT.
Then toss the old phone when you get the replacement.
edit: saying it was stolen can sometimes require a police report.

eww insurance that doesn’t cover water damage? WTF? So what if you ran it over with your car after it was water damaged?
different insurances can cover different things, and coverage can change.
Not to sound like a commercial, but call your carrier for specifics on what it currently covers.
