Pics From Concrete Central Climb

Pics from yesterday’s climb to the top. EVOLUTION VIII MR has substantially more pics. The climb is pretty sketchy… the stairs all have their treads cut out, so you have to walk up the runners. There are a few spots where you actually have to scale the joey-carts structure… At one point up top, we felt the floor/roof shift…

Badass… girl’s standing on a piece of shitty angle steel, outside it’s 10 stories straight down…

See? I had a deathgrip on my phone:

A few more shots…

Fucking karate kid

Before we climbed up there though, we ran into a bunch of kids going to jump off the railroad bridge… Never one to turn down a jump, I went for it… This picture isn’t that awesome but you can see the height of the jump… Probably about 20-25 feet.

Here is another shot of a different jump from the same spot. But this one is infinitely more badass… I only did 2 jumps, both front flips… I fucking love this pic…

We wandered over to an ancillary building that had no stairs. I scaled some angle steel bolted to a wall that was used for some sort of lift, that took me to a second floor, went up another set of stairs to a third floor. I didn’t feel like climbing down, so I threw my clothes to mike and jumped…

Fuck dude…that’s pretty badass. I gotta try this little hike out sometime.

HOLY SHIT… was that jump over 50 ft?

Lol. I don’t know if that’s a joke relating to that paulo picture, but it wa pretty high… I question it being 50 feet. but maybe???

yes.yes.yes.

How cold was that water?

Not cold at all.

Why no vid of the flip jump?

Just didn’t take one, IDK. I was all torqued up on flips though from going to gymnastics on saturday night.

thanks for the invite :frowning:

Callout: top of the sunset bridge, you pick the day.

you can do the top of this bridge too, and there is a ladder. It’s probably the same height.

lol that you’re hanging out with lisa now.

Awesome pictures. I pretty much grew up down in that area(that section of waterfront from the steel plant to the coat guard base) and spend most of my time exploring down there.

All the pics were taken with cell phones. I wanna jump off the top of that bridge.

We’ve had this conversation before lol

Damn!

B)

seems like a fun urban time

^^^this reminds me of that pic we took at chestnut ridge a long as time ago.
