Japmeet was held this year (5th running) at Mantorp Park, just south of Linköping (pronounced Linshopping). It was a good 4hour drive to the hostel we stayed in the night before the show. We hung out with about 40/50 S-chassis owners. Unfortunatly, we were in bed early as we volunteered to help check in cars for the track portion. Up at 5 for the hour drive to the track, then I had the spec sheet deciphered for me (damn Swedish, so hard to read!)
We worked non-stop from 0630 right to at least 1030 checking out cars. I had the time of my life… again, as I checked for leaks in countless S13/s14s, Tommi Makinen Edition Evo VIs, STis, a GT4 Celica with a huge turbo sticking out the hood, and an R33 GTS-t jammed with hot babes! They didn’t know where the battery was… and having never checked out an R33 before… haha, made some problems, but we found it in the end! It was in the boot, behind a carpeted wall, in front of the back of the rear seat. Good place for it, hahaha.
This green S14a in the middle is a super rare (200 numbered cars) Z Edition from Germany. Comes complete with cream leather interior and the rear valance. They have exclusive BBS wheels too, but the owner put on 19s
After we finished with the incoming cars, they were just starting up with the mobile rolling road. I saw/heard this NSX come in and had to check it out. Straight pipes and an intake made for just over 300hp and it sounded angry
Heres a left to right, botched panoramo view from the top of a small hill…
Veilside NSX anyone?
In the background of the above pic, you can see a black car beside the red Evo… Its a Galant VR4 wagon from Japan!

One of the Evo club, heh

One of two street legal Norwegian R33 GTRs (they have super strict laws) Owner was an awesomely cool dude with way too much money. He imported an R34 GTR at the same time but kept the R33 'cos he liked it better… tough decisions, eh!
Anyway, its got 650hp on high boost, but it was down about half that when we went for a rip. He was complaining that it didn’t feel right, so Stefan had a look at the Power FC settings, had a listen and a feel… decided it was running too rich. A little playing around and it felt way better! There’s something to be said about feeling a 4wd car get sideways on the dry!
There were 3 of these beauties there!
He missed the braking point after the back straight. The car is a write off.
Highest hp of the day went to the President of 200sx.nu, the 200SX Owners Group Sweden. 425hp on his CA.
