HF stones ? where are the gash marks caused by them exploding ?

So is there any ‘instructions’ to porting/polishing besides making rough areas smooth? There is a lot of math/fluids that goes into intake geometry so I am sort of skeptical at the methodology behind just going at it with the grinder.

Its not geometry really in a port, the engine is stupid. Thats more valve train.
