I could be mistaken, but I believe places like STRD and Autodream in Calgary compression test their motors in front of you. And Autodream has redtops for sale right now for 2000. Might wanna check that out.

Wait till Mid January to buy the motor not many people buy motors in December as Christmas is approching and in January every one has big credit card bills so things are slow for the guys selling JDM motors and they are a better on thier pricing. If you can hold out it could be worth the wait.
