Speed correction laser has been out for a couple years now. It isn’t readily used though as the officer still needs to maintain a clear line of sight, on top of being able to aim/target the system onto a car while driving. The speed correction factor also only works on approach(car ahead of the officer), not trailing vehicles, at which point they’re already in pursuit/have targeted standstill or have made a visual judgment of speed from a passing vehicle.
It’s all enough, plus other variables, to just not fuck around on the street. Way way too much at risk for yourself and others(the latter IMO the more predominant reason.<—hit/hurt my family fucking around on the street and “there isn’t a place on this planet you’ll be able to hide from my wrath” kind of mentality I have on that subject
