What pistons would I buy for an ls/vtec swap? turbo/sleeved
If im boring it out to 2L do I look for pistons for a B20?

je, weisco, endyne, CP, any will work suffecently
You buy the piston size for whatever bore you want to run. I wouldnt go bigger than 85mm on the street. This will leave you room for error incase you need a rebore (small room for error but room still.)
Stock b20 bore is 84mm.
is there any limit to what size bore I can go to with having a B16 head? Would I need to do anything to the head if I bore and sleeve the block?
no, you want to search for 84mm, the head will bolt right on.
I also wanna go with the lowest compression ratio with turbo rite? Do I need any special rods? Just planning on staying with the ls crank, need to do anything to it? What stroke length do I wanna look for?
Does weight of the pistons matter much?
And about sleeves?
stay above 8.5 and less then 9.2, and yes you need rods 89mm stroke (ls motor), golden eagle can get u sleeved for $1000
So what all do I need to get the block going? pistons, rods,???
Ive heard things about a better oil pump
YES “The piston’s weight determines that of the counterweights on the crankshaft, as well as the power loss in motion,” explains Masamichi Suzuki, Deputy Staff Manager of Design Group II, Automobile Power Train Design Dept. “It influences the whole engine configuration.”

and
YES stock sleeves arent meant to be boosted.
thats why you just get the motor balanced before you assemble it.
What does all that mean?
Exactly what it sounds like balance your rotating masses (crank, rods, flywheel(even tho noone does it is in the rotating assembly) and you will be fine but don’t forget its $$$ you didn’t expect to put into your motor.
lots of people get there rotating assembly balanced when they do high budget builds. I have heard from some machine shops that they dont even bother balancing the honda cranks anymore because they are always good. (take that how u may though I am not a machinist.)
Sorry about the whole 85mm thing for street if you are going turbo I would stick to 84 mm w/ the sleeves. Still leave you with a lil room for error if needed.
Look into forged pistons and rods, you’ll need bearings, new oil and water pump.
to put together a pretty much bulletproof honda bottom end basically be prepared to spend the following (in addition to the price of acquiring at least a bare B-series honda block):
Forged Pistons $500
Forged rods $350 (eagles) $550 (crower)
Bearings (OEM) $200
Sleeve Job (Golden Eagle) $900
Bore/Hone/Balance $250
OEM Oil/Water Pumps $200
OEM Headgastket $70
ARP Headstuds $100
(oil pan/pickup/etc if bare block also needed)
Assembly costs - varies
Not cheap but capable of putting out well over 500 hp with another $2000-$4000 in turbo parts
Got the B18B block already…any ideas on staying n/a with ls/vtec or going turbo?
how fast u want to go?
NA all the way.
something that can run v8s…something that is fun to drive…im just trying to figure out if im gonna be able to afford a turbo setup…getting the motor together for it is prolly not gonna be a problem…its getting the turbo setup
NA can get expensive but you could roast some V8s with a mild setup.
