Stopped by there Friday and the doors were locked and showroom was empty. Called up a buddy who used to work there and he said they went under with the new owner.
Yea it seems that precision was bought out by the owner of original soundz on central ave. Everytime I would call the number I would get automatically re-directed to original soundz.
Anyhow, back to the matter at hand. I +1 the idea for peel and seal from Lowes. I went to the Lowes in glenville on freemans bridge road and they had a bunch of it. Apparently this stuff is a bit hard to come by. I used their site to check availabilty and only the glenville and Hudson stores locally had any. But it’s 17$ for a rather large roll. I bought three of them for around 60$ and was able to cover my tbss’s floor, rear hatch, and quarter panels. And for the price it worked and worked rather well. I’m happy I didn’t blow over 200$ for other leading name brands of the same product. And home depot also carries a similar product which I believe is around the same price. IIRC it’s called roof patch. But regardless it’s essentially the same thing just from home depot.
The problem with Peel and Seal is the fact that it is a tar based product, it most definitely smells when it’s warm out. I used a couple rolls in the trunk of my Civic back in the day when I was into SPL, it smelled like a fuckin’ driveway being paved every time it was hot out.
sad but true…the last owner still has zims audio though and they do solid work.
how much do you want for it, i just wanna do above my rear axle, and under the rear seat to get rid of some of the road noise
precision seems closed
try boomer across the street if ur in the area. if you need massive amounts, your best bet is to buy a bulk kit of it on ebay, it comes out cheaper per sq foot.
