Put winter tires on (obviously)
Paint roof black
Remove rear spoiler and wiper, fill holes
Install lower rad hose inline heater
Install oil pan warmer
Get new exhaust
Install rocker arm stoppers
Install ES master bushing set
Make myself various chassis braces, no need to buy them when you can make them yourself for a fraction of the cost (power brace, front inner fender braces, and a 4 point roll bar
Fill unibody rails with stiffening foam (maybe, not sure yet, need more research)
If I don’t sell my car: Garage it, fix hatch rust (fucking foamed rubber spoiler :finga: ), fix quarter panel rust. remove said foamed rubber spoiler. Engine swap (How hard would an RB26 be?)
Get the rest of my SR20 built and put in the 240. Then pull the subframe, do the rear suspension and get it ready for next summer I’ve decided to also go ahead and do the Z32 tranny on my SR20 or get a set of OS Giken gears.
Fab up an extra set of fender braces and ill pay you half what retail is.
I have considered the foam also…i heard it helps a bit but i dont know how the frame would would hold up with moisture trapped inside.[/quote]I’ll see how much work the fender braces are, although I suspect it isn’t much from the detailed pics I’ve seen.
As for the foam, if I had no sunroof I would do the A,B,C pillars as well but I’m also concerned about making sure the water that goes past the sunroof seal has somewhere to go.
A cage, bracing, and the ES Bushing set is in my plans as well. Already started getting the cage in. Lemme know how the bracing comes along. We may be able to swap some ideas. Oh, and the install of bushing kit; i heard it’s a long job.
Mostly esthetic stuff for me… tint, smoked tail lights, clear corners, new front grill, debadging the trunk, and coilovers. Then rims in spring (Dazz CXR 19x10.5).
That’ll be pretty much all… the bike has most of my money tied up over winter. Race take-offs, sprockets, chain, gp shifter, fork internals, graves exhaust, new stacks, pc3-usb, etc, etc, etc. Racing is expensive
