i recently picked up a pro x 440, just curious what is the deal with that dial with the different letter selections, i think timeing but not really sure
with the race sleds it might be a dial for different grades of gas. i know for ski-doos they have a switch for 110 and on for 89 or 93
Is it by the handlebars? If so, it’s probably for the suspension.
the big dipper points to it
It’s to retard the timing so you can run dif grades if octane.
its for 87 or 93 octane.
later ones had it on the ignition
Where are the letters located?
BTW are you reclutching that sled because they engage at 5000 and rev out at 8800 rpm not so great for long trail rides… or gas mileage.
what year pro x is it?
they had different swtiches for the ignition timing and for the exaust valve timing. depending on the year. my brother has that setup on his 800 prox.
i believe it is for 93 or 103 octane… they like there go juice. some models also came with a switch on the bars just for the timing on a holeshot. to get the pipe hot.
there are 2 different heads a 92 octane and a 110 or 112 i have the 92 on
if im not mistakin the pro x is 2 stroke no valves transfer ports timing yes
not trying to be a smartass but some ppl do try to adjust there valves on there 2 stroke and/or buy a cam for it, think its rare and worth a lot once they cant find one for it lol
