Timing Problem.

I guess I’ll start with what my car is: its a 1990 240SX with KA24E, I am running premium (92 octane) fuel.

My problem is it pings, I have looked at my timing and tried to change it, it’s now as advanced as it goes. and the timing is at the second mark from the right. thats as far as it goes, so now it pings every couple minutes, its incredibly annoying and I cant imagine its good for my engine.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Ok first of all, WHY ARE YOU RUNNING PREMIUM FUEL. It’s a waste in a KA. Set your timing to factory specs.
Lot’s of stock car’s ping a little bit, When your NA and at low throttle it doesn’t really do anything. It’s only under heavy load/high RPM that its an issue
