 I’m all good for now. I just appreciate your candor. Even if I don’t agree it’s nice to read shit from someone who isn’t living in a fake self-image.
Man the “ignance” is deep in this thread. I think the point it being made is that many white ppl refer to things that they don’t like about black people based on their race.
If it was poor white people behind him talking, he would prolly not say “poor white ppl”, they would just be " poor ppl." To say poor black ppl is just going out of the way to say these ppl were black AND they were poor.
If a white person does something, they are only a “person.” If it is someone black, hurry up and say they are black. All it does is continue to have ppl stereotype. I see asshats all the time from all races. An asshat is an asshat is an asshat. Black, white, mexican, whatever.
It could have easily been said that there were some rude ass motherfuckers sitting behind me at this play, and called it a day.
He referred to them as black people because he is white. You don’t call every white person you see, a white person, because you yourself, are white.
I’m sure black people do the same thing, only reversed. If a black dude is telling this same story to a bunch of his black friends/family, he wouldn’t include their color and it would just be assumed they’re black. If the ignorant poor people were white, you can bet your fucking ass that he’d mention them being white.
