poor running foxbody, intermittently

alright, my buddy has a foxbody with a 347 stroker(built by pj’s a while back), fuel injected. has nitrous but has not been used in a long time.

recently the car has started to run rough intermittently. it will run fine, shut it off, come back later start it and it is running rough. sounds like it drops a cylinder, shudders, blue smoke, makes a ticking/whistling noise. shut it off and turn it back on, sometimes it still runs rough, other times it runs normal again. he says the plugs and fluids all look fine.

my thoughts are that something electrical is acting up and cutting out, either ignition or in the injection system? i have not personally looked at the car yet, i am just going off what he is describing. i plan to look at it but was hoping to get some ideas first from those more familiar with ford motors.

could be a million things

check all the simple things first

timing, fuel pressure, pull a plug

call p and j hahaha

could be TFI. I just went through that mess
