Pop can tabs for free keg

I still don’t get how this works…

It seems like if you are going to keep the top, you might as well keep the can…

Truck load is $0.67/pound

Is the places collecting them taking advantage of the massive amounts they bring in and then turning in a truck load vs small amounts for twice the pay?

did you include a hump factor?

Looks like i better clean out the dining room then = CASH!!!

It’s uncle Obama. They give the tabs to charity, then claim the beer as a charitable donation and deduct it from their taxes. So technically we’re buying OP his beer.

Just went to the orchard park road wegmans in west Seneca and they don’t even have kegs

i think the one on dick road does

:word: my sister used to work at this store

So it’s a 1 gallon jug at Wegs, or a 2 Liter bottle? Either way, I’m gon’ start saving.

Back when I was in Rochester, they hooked me up on a 2L bottle. I haven’t tried lately though, since I moved.

Ahhh, gotcha. A 1 gallon jug makes a lot more sense.

I have 1/2 a gallon saved up over time, stopped saving about 2 years ago

lol

called every wegmans in the area and none of them even sell kegs… if anyone could give me a specific location that’d be great

Why would the guys in the back just have their own personal kegs at the store? makes no sense.

The wegmans on lafayette used to… havent been there since I moved to florida though… worth a shot.

Guy in the back is in charge of recieving… people up front normally have no clue about inventory.

This holds true to every grocery store… cashiers and clerks are idiots compared to receiving and stock-boys.

Wouldnt the people up front be in charge of ordering? Therefor they would know if the store receives shipments of kegs. Also kegs should be kept cold and i’d imagine the only spot they would fit would be the beer cooler.

I’ve heard successes with Consumer’s matching this if you tell them wegmans’ does it. I know for a fact it worked for my buddy in May. Not sure which location it was though. If you go around to all of them you’re bound to find the one that does it.

this is not hard. Ask for the head of dairy frozen they handle the beer.Just easy to walk in the back and knock on the beer freezer
