wow
That link doesn’t work.
Try this one:
Seems like a pretty good deal, if that’s enough for a full gallon jug. I’m not sure how much space 7800 takes up though.
Maybe you can add some filler where they can’t see it, so you can make the tabs fill more jugs? Like fill the bottom and then throw in some wadded newspaper and then fill tabs over that.
Publix in florida does this and they dont even give deposits on cans… its funny nobody down here recycles at all.
No they def check to make sure they’re all there. Don’t you think people would try this?
I did a quick ENGINEERING calculation and if you bought that lot of 7800 you’d have enough for at LEAST 3 free kegs.
lol i think i saw that program once on a computer
Wegmans in Hamburg did this for a friend of mine. Said something about camp good days and got his keg no problem.
I just used a simple variation of D = (Vf + Vo)*t/2 to figure it out. I had to estimate the Vf of a pop tab though. I don’t have time to measure on at work.
Yeah, I guess it’s cool that they have this program. You probably shouldn’t abuse it, even if they didn’t check. I just got excited thinking about getting more free beer for the tabs.
I wonder if the Publix here does this program too. I’ve got a lot of tabs saved up that I was going to use when I visited Rochester next. Maybe I can just get a keg here instead!
lol you’ve got too much time on your hands
It doesn’t take any more time to save the tabs than it does to just drink the beer. I knock back at least 3 or 4 cans most nights, plus a lot more on the weekends, so that really adds up. Especially if you get your bros in on it. You can probably snag a free keg every couple months if you get drunk as much as my crew does.
couple months…gezz i say a few weeks for me and my friends…
few months? you’re doing it worng.
this is true. there is more pure aluminum in a can tab than a whole can, i know a guy that has to have kidney dialysis, and they give him 10 free seconds for every coke can tab, needless to say we ALL drink cans, and about 3 months we give him at least 1/2 a gallon of tabs. i would imagine this is true, the kidney dialysis place sells the tabs to NASA, they gave him a booklet explaining how it works, but NASA pays pretty good for pure aluminum like tabs. A random Joe cant just go to NASA and sell tabs, but alot of recycling places will give u decent money for only the tabs and they sell them to NASA.
cirrhosis looks like steak
But it tastes like LIVER :iobarf:
But it might get you drunk. :beer2:
I hear that a recycling place will give you ~$100 for one gallon of tabs, but I’ve never done it myself. I have been collecting though and have a good 1500 or so.
It changes based on the price of scrap aluminum. Prices are down a bit now, so it’s probably better to get a free keg than sell them for scrap.
I still don’t get how this works…
It seems like if you are going to keep the top, you might as well keep the can…
