I got it for the piece of mind factor. They aren’t overly expensive so it’s not a bad investment. I paid $70 for the 1.2 farad above. The good thing about this one is it charges once it gets power. Others, I guess, you need a special contraption to charge them for the first time. Mine fired right up.

If you have a good set of balls you can charge them without the contraption (AKA resistor or test light) :lol
