yes. Theirs a weird like curve in the sheet metal there that keeps the sub from sitting flat and sealing completely…with the cardboard “gasket” it seals it…I will paint in black in spring when I pull the subs out and fiberglass a box inside there.
is it the sub thump one that goes in the driver side wheel well panel? other wise, my box is already custum built by precision mobil audio for the t-top wheel well for my eclipse sub.
I pulled the amps and everything out of my truck for winter since it doesnt see the road…getting the itch to throw everything back in and go for a cruise, been so long since ive listened to loud music
This is for sale BTW. 2Cube divided chamber, tuned to 32hz, flush fitting 12" cutouts. Amp rack flushed out Alpine MRD600’s. For a SUV, or a giant ass trunk.
Similar setup to that Yellow GTO:
My 05 Jeep Liberty. 2, alpine type R 12’s. 2 Alpine MRD600’s. Not pictured, 1 4ch Alpine MRD1005 I think it was for the Type X 3 way components front and rear. That amp was mounted in the center of that cage.
My old ranger:
Alpine type r 6.5 comps. glassed door pannels:
interior shot. molded up center console.
4 Earthquake 12"s behind the seat. you could move the seat back 2 click from full back and still recline it. 2 chambers total. 1.25 cube each. 2 speakers per chamber.
Ran that setup off 2 DEI1000D monoblocks daisy chained, 1 ohm load. Comps ran off a matching DEI 4 ch amp. all in a nice amp rack in the bed under the hard tonnau cover.
Same truck i built a pass through setup. same 4 earthquakes in a 12cube ported box in the bed. I have pics of that somewhere too. i dunno though.
