post the highest milage vehicle you have owned.

92 mercury cougar. My mom bought it used in 92, than my dad had,it than my sister, than me. I got it at around 185k and put about 5-10k on it. Car was really weak, was running on 5 cylinders by the time I was done with it. Frame was all rotted out, we had to junk it.

250,000 and counting on my toyota avalon. i also had a new iroc in 1985 that i put 170,000 in 10 years without changing any parts it even had the original battery!

my old 99 mountaineer had 165000 its still running good a friend has it now

ive had quite a few civic hatches last over 300,000 on original motor/trans

180k on the 328is I just sold. Thing ran like a top and out of all 13 cars I’ve owned she was the “ultimate driving machine”!

im pretty sure im still winning

nope, i had a 2001 caravan with a MILLION miles on the original everything… i didnt even change any fluids evarrrrrr!

just kidding.

I did work a job in college where we sold conklin convoy oil and we had a customer with a fleet of dodge 1500 work vans that all had over 300k on them. all original. only thing they changed was belts and hoses. the highest had 475k on it and it BEAT HARD. the driver eventually got fired for getting speeding tickets.

Brian

My old '95 Geo Prizm. It got to about 262k before I drove through EA when the terrible construction was going on and broke a spring and decided it wasn’t worth fixing.

My b5 a4 and my civic both had 169k when I sold them.

94 volvo 940 238,000 miles. Runs like new and is better in the snow than anything else I have driven. NO RUST and has been in NY its whole life. Plan to replace it with another one if it ever dies.

I thought cars start breaking after the warranty is up. I would trust that car for reliability over a new car, I’d say at 2,600,000 miles it’s safe to safe it’s not a lemon.

^I wonder how he kept track of the miles, there are only 5 digits on the odometer.

I recall seeing a story online about a taxi driver in Europe/Middle East with a Mercedes Diesel with well over 2 million miles.

EDIT: http://www.expatica.com/de/news/local_news/last-ride-for-mercedes-taxi-withbr46-million-kilometres-on-clock--12033.html

Not the original engine, but still pretty impressive. Retired it with 2.8 million miles

i had a custom lowrider 98 chevy silverado i sold it with 189,000…my truck now only has 85,000 and will have over 200,000 by the time i sell it

<- still winning

highest mileage vehicle i had was a '92 dakota v6 auto 2wd. had like 208k on it with probably 40k in burnout miles. original everything. just would not die. off roaded it, burnouts and donuts everywhere, rammed it into snowpiles and used the excavator to drag it out…i finally ended up getting a ticket for loud exhaust after a week or so because the y pipe fell off and i didnt feel like fixing it so i had the junkyard pick it up.

current daily has 183k but you would never know it looking at the car…i plan to have atleast 300k on this before it gets replaced

Is that a 323? ^

yea…slow  atleast its a standard trans…but its clean and rides nice so its a great daily driver esp on the highway.

96 beretta, had 104k on it when i traded it in. usually dont keep anything past 100k

My 2008 Silverado has 135K on it and it looks brand new.
