Post the Most Recent picture of your car (PICS ONLY)

doubt it… CARSTAR facilities are 99% tier 1 insurance collision repair shops. you’re looking for more of a backyarder.

Bing, your paint looks sexy. Can you post more pics of the whole car, but a little closer please? and a little lower? hahha.

yeah as long as its a booth not to many of them in back yards lol

4500 holy cow - that sounds like a hell of a lot of money for a paint job lol - the materials are really 2000 dollars ? I’m assuming not everyone would use that paint on their car… this car was painted almost 3 years ago for 2800 dollars, all windows removed, doors, interior where needed, and all bumpers and hinges were painted separately. It is very hard to tell if a paint job is going to “last” or not that is the worst part about spending the money -

looks good bing hope it stays fresh!!

cleanest s14 I have seen ! lol

my camera sucks… it wouldnt matter if i took more pics right now, i need to find a cheap D40 kit…lol

this is my DD so it wont go any lower… it might get raised up a bit in fact.

Look what i’ve brought back to life!!!
Anyone recognize this gem?

p.s. looking for a black replacement hatch

you’re not wrong… it’s alot of money… which is why most people don’t do it properly. This one was not a 100% restore job… the motor was still in, the rear glass was not removed…

that said, i have really bad experience with $1500 paint jobs…and i wont ever trust my car to hacks or backyard shops again… not for a car i care about anyways

like i said, when you get a bargain paint job the shop absolutely has to cut corners. on my last paint job the paint flaked off in a car wash because the surfaces were not prepped properly.

industry standard for top tier paint and materials is about $1800 for a complete paint job… this is the stuff insurance companies expect to go on repairs meant to restore to OEM standards or as close to it as possible… since we all know you can’t replicate the OEM paint job.

I can see you getting a decent job for $2800 with decent materials if the shop is not a mainstream shop, has low overhead, billing out at $30 / hr or so… it’s possible for sure.

I agree 100%. I spent roughly the same amount you did for my pearl paint job on my hatch.

@Head: Paint anytime soon? I’ve never seen a 180 with paint in that condition!

Calm down killer, thats evening dew

Hey Bing, just wondering who painted the car at cs 401. was is my man mark or the new chinese dude?

asian dude.

hahha, I meant, lower camera angle!!! Nah, dont need a nice cam to take good pics in daylight! Try playing around with the shitty point and shoot in manual and also just get as close to the car as possible, dont use the zoom and try to fill the frame and keep the angle level!!!

Sorry, don`t mean to sound geeky.

i was messing with the iso, white balance etc. and couldnt get anything decent…

On a day like today, try this. Iso 100. Shutter at 160 and aperture at f16 or something. Try dat mang.

oh shit, Adam is that Axelrod’s old car?
