Post the Most Recent picture of your car (PICS ONLY)

Maybe everyone else has always mounted them upside down and we are ACTUALLY mounting it the right way up?

Did that just blow your mind?

Actually, the truth of the matter is I was going to copy the Full-Race IC design and modifiy my Greddy cooler…but this just ended up being easier.

Welcome back Dan,

Funny thing about that picture. Your car looks exactly like I remember it from 4 weeks ago… this is the “Post the Most Recent picture of your car” thread, so I really hope you just ignored that part and posted an old picture anyways and its not that the car is still in the same state of incompletion.

Don’t get me fukin started. :\

It should be back on the road in Mid-June as it goes into the bodyshop this Sat.

Shorter piping will help with throttle response, as you have less compressible volume in the intake tract.

However…

Utilizing a center-center inlet IC vs top-top or bottom-bottom will yeild greater gains. The amount of flow (and thus, cooling) decreases exponentially as you attempt to force the air further and further from the inlet location.

As far as the IC being in front of the radiator, it’s really a not much of an issue, as the delta in the crossflow air to the radiator is sufficiently small. Unless you are having massive engine cooling issues, this should not be looked at.

Lastly, a lot of people install massive intercoolers with no provisions for proper ducting. Ensuring that oncoming air cannot escape AROUND the intercooler (opposed to passing through it) will yeild far greater gains than simply upping the size of the core.

Now don’t go getting all smart on us Newman…it’s too early in the morn.

sorry.

this should cancel it out any intelligence:

Ahhh - the balance has been restored…thanks buddy.

So what your saying is that by mounting the IC upside down it will yeild a great increase in burnout smoke?

Okay I’ll stop talking here seeing as how this is a “pictures only” thread

Welcome to the boards newman… I hear you are some kind of a smart fellow.

Now THATS the kind of car I’d expect to see in St. Catherines!

Bing, does the SON tour ever drive past the “white House of Rock”?

^^ I wanna go there one day, 977 ftw

haha the white house rules!

So whats the deal with IC sizing? Where is the line for requiring a large cooler? how much will that increase your lag?
